Give us some background on you as an artist.As an artist I have been doing music for over 10 years. I started off with a group called MCG’s.That stands for Murder Capital Gangsters–We were one of the original groups that started the little movement back in Gary in the 90’s.

In Gary, they say “mammy,” there–Everyone has their own stories about it, but what is it all about to you?It is just like saying “On my mama!” I heard it back in the day from own of my homeboys, and we liked the way he said it so we all just picked up on it. It became the lingo.

What single are you pushing right now?Right now, I have been pushing this BMF remix I did. I actually had somebody remake the beat, so it’s not the original beat. It is sort of like a tribute to my old neighborhood that they tore down about 3-4 months ago. So it was a tribute to the hood.

A lot of artists have remixed BMF, so what did you do differently with it?Well, to me what I did differently is I had someone remake the beat. We just took the sample out of it and built around it. I used the same format he used, but I just talked about people I know–from my hood and people that influenced me. I did a video for it too. Youtube: SkrewFaceEnt.

Are there any artists you are working with?I am the main artist. Yellow Boy and my son Lil Cappy that I am working with. Look out for him during the summer. This label is ran from Indianapolis. I have been in Indianapolis on and off for 10 years.I want to work with other Nap artist. Got the studio running 40 dollars a hour. The networking from the mix between Gary and Indy is something we are working on. Did something with Yung Tone, supposed to be doing something with G the Fly boy. It’s not about area codes. Indiana is Indiana.
